There are so many things being cut right now. While I knew it was winding up, it is hard to see all of these things come through and be removed.

PASCO SCHOOL DISTRICT #1 Dear Pasco Families and Staff, We want to inform you about recent changes to several supports and programs in our elementary schools that were previously staffed by AmeriCorps members. Due to federal funding cuts to the AmeriCorps program, these services-such as before- and after-school tutoring, small group interventions, and some student clubs-have been discontinued. We were notified of the funding cuts on Friday, April 25, after school hours. The decision was effective immediately, which meant AmeriCorps staff did not return to our schools on Monday, April 28. We are deeply grateful to the AmeriCorps staff who have dedicated their time and energy to supporting our students and schools. Their contributions have made a lasting impact on our community. We understand that the loss of these programs may be disappointing. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to your school's principal.
